Job description
Location: Europe, remote
We're looking for a passionate Analyst to join Geek Ventures. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a keen analytical mindset, eager to learn and grow, while working alongside a top-notch team. In this role, you'll dive into the stories of remarkable startups, help the investment team decide which ones to invest in, and contribute to their success.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluating potential investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and providing valuable insights to inform investment decisions. This includes:
- Market size analysis
Competitor analysis
Product vision, quality, customer fit, sales analysis
Financial modelling
Proactively participating in process improvements
Contributing to Geek Venture’s deal flow - sourcing, outbound reach outs, working with inbound applications;
How an ideal candidate should look like:
- Experience: 1-3 years in a VC environment or a financial background with a strong interest in the startup space. This may include:
A degree in economics, finance, or business;
Experience in analytical roles, working with numbers (e.g., accounting, economics, consulting, banking);
An analytical mindset and attention to detail: you excel at working with numbers and ensure precision and accuracy in reports and investment memos;
Industry insight: a strong understanding of industry trends and the ability to identify and evaluate new investment opportunities, as well as develop investment theses;
A proactive approach and eagerness to learn: you stay up-to-date on industry developments, have a solid market knowledge, and are committed to refining your skills and adopting best practices;
Partnership building: exceptional interpersonal skills to successfully foster and maintain relationships with team members, portfolio company founders, entrepreneurs, and other industry stakeholders, while consistently adding value.
